Where to Find Used Books to Resell

Selling pre-loved books (or used books) is a great way to earn money. Many people love reading and most do not care whether they are reading an old, used book or a brand new one. People who love reading books are actually more into buying books that are old and used because they are cheaper and yet their hunger for reading is equally satisfied or even more gratified compared to when they are buying books that are new.

If you want to earn more by book sourcing, or buying and selling used books, you should also know where to find them. The secret is buying books in bulk instead of buying them one or few pieces at a time. You will not earn hundreds of dollars selling just few books, but if you know where to find books that are sold at a very low price, you can buy more books with your tight budget, and you can add a mark-up high enough, sometimes at one hundred or even two hundred percent. Here are some tips on where to find books to resell.

1. Do your book sourcing online. The booksalefinder.com is one of the biggest sources of used books. Booksalefinder.com offers extensive listings and broader search results of books. You can also go to Abebooks.com. It has a faster search engine than Booksalefinder.com but the listings are less extensive. These sites are also a great way of information on how much The Books are normally priced in the market.

2. Thrift stores and garage and rummage sales in your local area are great sources of very good yet cheap books. You will almost always find used books that are under a dollar each. Sometimes, they are even sold in bulks which are usually discounted. Estate sales are also good for book sourcing because real estate sellers focus more on selling a clean and clutter-free real estates, and they do not usually look at the value of old books. They usually dispose old books and other stuff quickly and at very low prices.

3. Bookstores, book publishers and local libraries usually hold yearly book sales. Libraries sell the books to make room for New Books. Sometimes they sell extra book copies. Bookstores and book publishers usually sell the unsold, partly damaged books, or those books with minor misprints. Some books are just the last old pieces with pages turned yellow. These books still have the same content and are still usable. Sometimes they are still in good shrink wrap packaging. You can buy these books at a dollar or less and sell them three or even five times more of the buying price.

4. Check out the local schools and colleges every school-year end. Many students get rid of their old stuff because they do not need them anymore and they do not want to carry them all back home. Buying books from these students will cost you much lesser, and you can sell the textbooks online for higher prices.
